Rob Toornstra
Pastor
Pastor Rob Toornstra has been serving as pastor since Fall of 2006. He has a passion for preaching and teaching God’s word as it applies to our daily life. He graduated from Calvin Seminary in Grand Rapids MI in 2006, and went on to complete a DMin at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 2015. He and his wife Amy have been married since 2001, and they have three children, Hailey, Derek, and Kara. As a family, they enjoy playing games, enjoying the outdoors, and exploring new places as they travel throughout the Northwest.
Drea Rasmussen
Administrative Assistant
Drea works hard to keep so many of the administrative details flowing smoothly behind the scenes! She is more than willing to help answer any questions you may have about our church.
Bill & Debbie Martin
Janitors
Bill & Debbie work hard to keep our church grounds clean. They have served in this position since the winter of 2016, and they love to serve!
Pete Hiemstra
Groundskeeper
Pete and his crew work hard each week to maintain the beauty of our grounds. This includes everything from keeping the lawn trimmed, to having the flowers cared for, and the trees pruned.
Church Leadership Structure
The elders and deacons make up the church council which is the governing body of our congregation. They are responsible for overseeing worship, and ministry in the congregation. Additionally, our church is a part of a Classis which is a regional body to which our church is accountable. Finally, as a member of the Christian Reformed denomination, our Synod is a bi-national gathering that meets once a year. The Synod provides leadership and governance to all churches in the Christian Reformed Church.
